Smoothie stop is a health food chain restaurant with locations across Hampton Roads. Their largest competition in the area has been Tropical Smoothie, so Smoothie Stop was looking for a solution to capture more foot traffic that was going to their competitors.
When people want food they usually will either go to a place they already know, or they will Google other options in their area. We wanted to capture the users that were googling to determine where to go to eat. The easiest, most cost effective, and trackable solution we deployed was to run local services ads that display when users type in keywords such as “healthy food near me” into Google. We were able to run Google Ads around a mile radius of each store, and track what users were typing in when they clicked on our Google Business and got directions to a store. The results - over 50% of the traffic came from users typing in “Tropical Smoothie.” A huge win for Smoothie Stop who was trying to battle the larger awareness and corporate marketing efforts of the larger Tropical Smoothie Chain. We also updated their Google Businesses with new photos, and provided each store with individual QR Codes with an incentive for returning customers to leave a 5 star Review.
